and you are telling me Nolan can play 2 games in 3 days?

I'd argue he can barely play a half in 3 days.

I cut my family gathering short to travel across London and attend the game. I also bought tickets for a couple of mates as a Christmas present.

Disappointed with the result but the suggestion that we threw the game is moronic.

"What is the logic not playing Sakho"
Well he already said that Sakho and Song wouldn't be able to play 2 games in 3 days so rightly or wrongly that is the logic . By know we all should know BFS's views on this sort of thing and he was always going to target the Arsenal game as the more winnable . Unfortunately this has backfired on him numerous times

How much did you pay for your ticket at Stamford bridge, and did you miss any family gatherings for the pleasure of watching us roll over?

You both did go, didn't you?

Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
The man city game should have been the template for playing Chelsea. We went toe to toe against arguably as good as squad if not better than Chelsea. Nolan came on in the 89th minute and Carroll was doing head stands in Dubai.

I hope the fat one does not destroy the team spirit with his pig headed ideas. The signs are worrying...does he need to play Nolan and in a couple of games he has invited pressure in the latter stages by bringing on Collins as an extra midfielder? Old habits die hard I suppose.....

Team needs to built around song kouyate downing sakho Valencia Reid .That nucleus will keep us in the top 6 at least.

What is the logic not playing Sakho Debs when he is off to play in Africa? surely we should have got every minute out of him we could before he goes?

Darlo Debs 2:38 Sat Dec 27
Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
Can see the logic in the decision not to play Sakho & Song. What worries me is how we'll cope when we lose them for the African Cup of Nations along with Wylie Coyote.

Too right dicksie

BFS should be sacked for the obscene way he threw that game.

I also guarantee we'll be beaten by Arsenal tomorrow.

Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
The best I've seen west ham play is with Valencia, Sahko and Downing in the middle.

There are lots of reasons to play Caroll. It keeps his value up if he keeps getting starts so we are not wasting an asset. He is hard to play against and can keep the ball better than a lot of target men. He has a good left foot and plenty of skill etc...

But I still can't get out of my head that the best I've ever seen us play is with Valencia, Sahko and Downing! Not matter what the stats say (Carolls 3 in 3 or his assists) what I actually see with my own eyes is a far better team with Valencia + Sahko.

Maybe it's because there's an unpredictability with those 2, and they have the speed that just causes nightmares for defenders. It feels like West Ham are playing the "modern" game with that set up. How the Bayerns and the PSG's play. Good quality passing football with speed and intelligence. Teams that don't rely on brute force or set pieces to win but actually out play you on the grass.

The difference in the second half of Chelsea's game was light and day. When Song came on and could actually keep the ball and pass it properly and our front players could hold it as well. Chelsea actually had to really think in that second half.

Carol feels like a great option but not the player that team builds it self around. A very weird situation of us but then again its great to have options like this.

Welcome back to TRUTH, DARE or FORFEIT!...

We have with us Sam, from Dudley, who has beaten his other competitors to reach this week's final...

So, Sam what is it going to be:

a) TRUTH, for £100,000...

b) DARE, for £250,000...

c) FORFEIT, leave with nothing but a poxy cunt trophy...

We'll go into details of the TRUTH and DARE challenges shortly...

Sam, from Dudley: "Bollocks to it, FORFEIT... Give me the poxy cunt trophy... The hound can piss on it, slobber on it and do whatever he fucking wants with it... I'd never win the prize money, anyway!"

*Stunned audience murmurs*

Well, er, that concludes this week's show!...

Sam, goodbye and good luck... You boring dullard cunt...

*Credits roll*

I trust the management, sometimes it works well other times not so but invariably there are reasons and circumstance to always bring to bear.

The manager over a season is successful in that he achieves his targets, stop digging him out all the time over poxy player selection issues, it's really quite shit of you considering what he has done for us so far.

Mex Martillo 1:21 Sat Dec 27
Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
It would have been nice to go for it from that start, I love attacking football and that would also be my choice
But BFS as he is unsurprisingly went for starting tight and then opening up. Not a bad way to go. At still 1-0, with a fresh song coming on it even looked good, but it did not work out.
It was an interesting and nearly enjoyable game.

But calling for BFSs and Nolans head is a joke for the comedians on ere

Sven Roeder 1:14 Sat Dec 27
Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
If your view was just to sit in and keep it tight as you say you might decide he wasn't going to work as hard as or be as likely to score on the break as Valencia.
I wasn't advocating it, I was in favour of us having a go with our best side which includes Song, Sahko, probably Carroll & not Nolan.

Mex Martillo 1:08 Sat Dec 27
Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
Come on Sven
CARROL has scored 3 in the few games and is one of the best target men in the prem to be up front on his own
Why on earth would you not pick CARROL?

Sven Roeder 1:05 Sat Dec 27
Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
If he wanted to be really tight he could have played a worker like Valencia up front on his own and added the likes of Song, Amalfitano & even Poyet to midfield and try and block things up.
The only thing tight about the line up he picked was Nolan's shorts.
Chelsea waltzed around at will doing as they liked and we didn't restrict them in the slightest.

Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
I do not understand or see the point in all the crying and slagging BFS and NOLAN
BFS tried to win by being tight in the first half and opening up the attack in the second.
The team selection was fine for that, it did not work, it could have, but it didn't.
It was an okay approach to our hardest fixture of the season and we played well.

Re: We fucking forfeited that game...
We got so many plaudits for how we were playing at the start of the season, we looked strong, powerful, fucking ridiculously quick going forward, knocking it about beautifully, scoring goals and troubling everyone. Even in losing against Manchester United, wedidn't deserve to.

Fast forward, and through injury, he gets his 2 favourites back in the team, and we win some games that you'd fancy us to anyway, but apart from Swansea, we haven't looked particularly great, we've just done enough, reverting back to launching it to the big man, and having that cumbersome cunt in midfield trudging about.

I can guarantee, if we went at them from the start with Valencia and Sakho, Song in midfield, Downing cenctre and Morgan in there, we would have at least troubled them, and had a fucking shot on goal at least.

Moreover, what do you reckon Song thinks about it all? Do you reckon he is happy to join a club who forfeits games against the teams that are top? It seems some of our fans are happy with that, mind you I'm guessing none of them paid to go and see that surrender yesterday.
_______
spot on- was about to type all this myself. The fact that he's blaming the players todays speaks volumes about Sam and the way he sees the world.
